 "description": "Basic wind speed or the ultimate design wind speed for the development of wind loads will now be determined from one of three maps (Figures 1609A, 1609B and 1609C) depending upon the Risk Category of the structure being designed. The ultimate design wind speed for use in the design of Risk Category II buildings and structures shall be obtained from Figure 1609A. The ultimate design wind speed for use in the design of Risk Category III and IV buildings and structures shall be obtained from Figure 1609B. The ultimate design wind speed for use in the design of Risk Category I buildings and structures shall be obtained from Figure 1609C. The exact location of wind speed lines for your jurisdiction are to be established by local ordinance using recognized physical landmarks such as major roads, canals, rivers and lake shores wherever possible.",
